Geely EX5 owners rejoice! The long-awaited Android Auto feature is finally here. But here's where it gets controversial... While the EX5 has been a strong contender in the electric SUV market, it was one of the few models missing Android Auto at launch. Now, with an over-the-air (OTA) software update, Geely is addressing this oversight. The update, available from February 4 to 9, 2026, brings Android Auto with both wired and wireless connectivity, enhancing the driving experience for EX5 owners. But that's not all. The update also introduces safety features like three low-speed Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) sounds and the option to set your preferred driving profile. This profile allows drivers to customize settings such as drive mode, energy regeneration level, and speed limit alerts. However, some may argue that the update could have been more comprehensive, leaving the Leapmotor C10 as the only model in this segment without these features. Despite this, the EX5 has seen success in Australia, delivering 3944 units in 2025, and coming close to the petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid MG HS. So, are you excited about the new features or do you think the update could have been better? Share your thoughts in the comments!
