“I began wearing a tallit at my bar mitzvah,” Grossman shares. “My mother, may she rest in peace, hand-wove my bar mitzvah tallit, so it held sentimental value, and I continued using it for many years, even though it wasn't my usual practice. However, it slipped constantly. The clips would break, chains would snap, and when they did stay attached, they rarely kept the tallit on my shoulders.”
Years later, after Grossman married and acquired a new tallit, the problem intensified. "The fabric was finer and the tallit larger, leading to even more slipping. I was determined to find a better solution."
The breakthrough came when he recognized the real reason clips failed.
"Trying to secure a tallit at the neck doesn’t address the root cause of the issue," he explains. "The slipping occurs at the shoulders. Once I made that realization, using magnets became an obvious choice."

In 2020, Grossman underwent treatment for colon cancer. Thankfully, it was successful, and he enjoys good health today; however, the experience served as a pivotal moment, reshaping his perspective on time and purpose.
