"We never intended to host a grand spectacle, but here it is, our most ambitious event yet," shared Zomer's Danial Aitouganov.
And what a spectacle it was! The Théâtre du Châtelet, usually seating a few hundred industry insiders, was transformed into a bustling hub of fashion enthusiasts for the inaugural Watch Party, seamlessly integrated into the main show. The audience erupted in excited laughter as viewers witnessed their own kiss cam-style moments displayed on the giant stage screen.
This innovative approach to accessibility was a backdrop for the Zomer collection's strong debut.
To kick things off, the design duo invited their team to showcase their favorite "Zomified" creations.
The collection boasted a diverse range of styles: asymmetric A-line skirts inspired by kilts, partially open for a unique twist; smart shirts with layered collars and sleeves, offering playful customization; dresses spliced with silky floral print godets, seamlessly transitioning from serious to playful; Crombie coats enhanced with contrasting silky sack backs, and coats with integrated blankets, offering both comfort and a cool aesthetic.
There were also more straightforward options, like sharp-shouldered long coats with oversized leather collars, or jersey dresses featuring bold structural details that transformed fluid materials into flattering, form-fitting structures. While they may not have the same social media buzz as last season's hair grip top, these pieces are destined for longevity.
"We don't need to create viral sensations every season," Aitouganov remarked. "A realistic approach is just fine." The lineup proved that reality can be both captivating and stylish, offering a blend of legibility and intriguing details.
